WHO WE ARE

Functional Therapy and Rehab (FTR) is a Massachusetts-based, employee-owned mobile outpatient physical therapy practice proudly serving our communities for over 10 years. We treat patients in their homes, offices, assisted living facilities, and retirement communities across Southern Metro Boston and surrounding towns.

Our current service area includes: Southern Dorchester, Hyde Park, Readville, Quincy, Milton, Canton, Randolph, Braintree, and parts of Weymouth. We are also expanding along the I-95 corridor near Norwood and Sharon.

Our patient population generally ranges from approximately 55 to 100 years old, presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses. If you are passionate about geriatric care and want to make a real difference in people's daily lives, this is the practice for you.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking motivated, patient-centered Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants for part-time and/or full-time roles. We welcome applicants with varied clinical backgrounds and experience levels.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Detailed, organized, and passionate about personal and professional growth
  • Customer/patient-centered with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Independent, self-driven, and comfortable in an autonomous but team-based setting

Experience Preferences:

  • Minimum 1–3 years of total clinical experience preferred
  • At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred
  • Strong new graduates may be considered for our specialized 6-Month Onboarding and Mentorship Track

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation

  • $80,000–$95,000 annually for full-time PTs, plus additional mileage reimbursement
  • Competitive compensation for part-time and per diem roles — discussed at interview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Implement physical therapy interventions to enhance mobility, function, and independence
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, home exercise programs, and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient progress and treatment efficacy
  • Travel independently to patient homes, assisted living facilities, retirement communities, and select offices within your designated service area

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant license (required)
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with current automobile insurance
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
