Aviation Maintenance Instructor - FAA Part 147

Job Summary
Epic Flight Academy is seeking dedicated Aviation Maintenance Instructors to teach within our FAA Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Program, which is located at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). Instructors are responsible for delivering effective classroom and hands-on training aligned with FAA regulations and Epic standards. The role includes supporting student success, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a safe and engaging learning environment.

Aircraft Mechanic Instructor Key Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery

• Teach assigned aviation maintenance courses following FAA Part 147 guidelines and Epic's curriculum.
• Conduct classroom lectures and hands-on lab sessions with clarity, professionalism, and student engagement.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student progress records.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate different learning styles and ensure student comprehension.
• Onboarding and training responsibilities for the new instructors.

Student Support & Engagement

• Provide students with guidance and feedback to support learning and career readiness.
• Communicate consistently with students about academic performance and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in student advising, tutoring, or study sessions as needed.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all instructional activities are conducted in compliance with FAA Part 147 and Epic Flight Academy policies.
• Maintain safe practices in classroom and lab environments.
• Assist in maintaining training aids, tools, and shop equipment.

Aircraft Mechanic Instructor Qualifications

• FAA A&P Certificate preferred
• General Aviation and piston engine experience preferred
• Experience in aviation maintenance (teaching experience preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using technology for instruction and student tracking
• Knowledge of FAA Part 147 training requirements

Work Environment

While performing duties of this job, the employee will be working with domestic and international students. The employee must demonstrate cultural and religious sensitivity at all times, including in off-duty hours and at Epic and its partner locations.
