
AVP AML Support & Effectiveness
Responsibilities:

Collaborate on the establishment and updating of comprehensive Support and Effectiveness Unit policies and procedures,
-
ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
-
Review prepared Anti-Money Laundering (AML) periodical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
-
Conduct quality checks on AML units to assess and enhance operational effectiveness.
-
Review bank AML & Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) awareness messages for clarity and relevance.
-
Ensure the timely update of the AML & CTF policy and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.

Supervise the comprehensive bank-wide regular reviews/visits to various sectors and departments of the banks, including
-
branches, to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing requirements, and document the
-
visits in writing.

Support the Head of AML & CTF with the preparation of managerial reports.
-
Review responses to correspondent banks' questionnaires and ensure they are conducted in a timely manner, showcasing the
-
bank's commitment to compliance and fostering strong correspondent banking relationships.

Manage the periodic risk assessments to identify emerging AML/CTF risks and adjust monitoring/control measures accordingly.
-
Manage AML & CTF department requests and projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
-
Ensure the closure of all deficiencies related to internal and external audits within established timelines.
-
Manage the regular reviews of AML systems to ensure accuracy & effectiveness in monitoring & controlling relevant risks.

Manage all reports mandated by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) related to AML.
-
Encourage an AML compliance culture across the organization through training and awareness programs to keep all
-
employees informed about AML related matters.

Ensure continuous review of all AML and CTF processes, tools, and controls to assess their effectiveness in combatting money
-
laundering and illicit financial activities, identify areas for improvement, and take necessary action.
-
Remain current with regulatory/laws updates related to AML&CTF and ensure updates are incorporated within AML operations.

Manage the preparation and submission of field visit/review reports and periodic activity reports conducted by the Anti-Money
-
Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing department to the board of directors.
-
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of AML/CTF processes and report findings
-
to senior management.

Manage AML system enhancements to ensure detection of suspicious activities & improve effectiveness of AML/CTF controls.
-
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the integration of AML/CTF controls into new products, services, and activities.
-
Design enhanced due diligence measures for high-risk customers, including politically exposed persons (PEPs) and
-
correspondent banking relationships.
-
Prepare internal control questionnaires, data collection templates, and any related information pertaining to anti-money
-
laundering and counter-terrorism financing provided to the institution.

Additional duties and responsibilities assigned through the bank’s process as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related major
-
Preferred Experience:
8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking sector.

Arabic, English
