AVP Finance

Location: Permanent Remote (From Delhi NCR)

Role Purpose

At AAPNA, the AVP – Finance is more than a number-cruncher — they are a strategic business partner who drives financial governance, scalability, and profitability across IT services and product development. This role combines strategic foresight with hands-on execution, ensuring financial discipline that fuels sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

1 Financial Strategy & Business Partnering

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on planning, pricing, and investments.
  • Support annual operating plans (AOPs) and long-term financial roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Delivery, Sales, HR, and Product teams to strengthen margins and efficiency.

2 Financial Planning, Budgeting & Control

  • Own budgets, forecasts, and monthly MIS.
  • Monitor revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
  • Establish early-warning systems for cost or revenue risks.
  • Drive project-wise and account-wise profitability analysis.

3 Revenue, Billing & Pricing Governance

  • Oversee billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Track utilization, bench cost, and pricing model performance.
  • Partner with Sales to validate financials before deal closure.

4 Accounting, Compliance & Statutory Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, GST, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, etc.
  • Manage financial closures and audits.
  • Maintain audit readiness and strong internal controls.

5 Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Drive DSO reduction and collection discipline.
  • Optimize working capital and maintain a healthy cash runway.

6 Product & R&D Financial Oversight

  • Track R&D investments and ROI.
  • Develop models for pricing, GTM, and product scaling.
  • Support decisions on build vs. buy and platform enhancements.

7 Team Leadership & Automation

  • Lead and mentor Finance, Accounts, Payroll, and Compliance teams.
  • Champion finance automation and dashboarding.
  • Build a data-driven culture of accountability.

8 ESOP Governance & Execution

  • Manage ESOP structuring, implementation, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with valuers, auditors, and advisors.
  • Report ESOP updates to the Board and Audit Committee.

9 Banking, Payroll & Compliance

  • Oversee remittances and reconciliations (RBI/FEMA compliant).
  • Manage payroll end-to-end.
  • Ensure compliance with POSH, Wages, and Bonus Acts.

Global Accounting & Taxation

  • Manage accounting and taxation for the USA and Australia entities.
  • Liaise with auditors and consultants for statutory compliance.

  • Auditors, Bankers, Tax Consultants

Qualifications & Experience

Must Have:

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution
  • 8–10 years’ experience in IT / software finance
  • Proven track record with 30–60 Cr organizations

Good to Have:

  • Experience in SaaS / product firms
  • M&A or fundraising exposure
  • ERP / automation proficiency
