Grand Valley Bank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our team at our 25 Rd. branch in Grand Junction, CO. Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week

Location: 570 25 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505

Employment is contingent upon passing a credit and background check, and verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The Human Resources (HR) Manager manages the HR Department and all activities of maintaining the company’s workforce; assists in updating and maintaining confidential personnel records; and stays current with all local, state and federal employment laws and regulations. The HR Manager is also responsible for preparing and processing payroll for the Bank’s employees on a bi-weekly basis. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Management: Manage the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring all internal communications and processes run smoothly.
  • Recruiting & Hiring: Post job openings, manage applications, and support new hire onboarding.
  • Timekeeping & Payroll Support: Help staff with Paychex issues, time-off requests, payroll data entry, timesheet tracking, and payroll processing.
  • Records Management: Organize and maintain confidential personnel files, benefit documents, and policy updates in both physical and digital formats.
  • Policy Communication: Update and distribute policy changes and compliance notices from regulatory agencies to employees.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure all procedures align with company policy, labor laws, and industry standards.
  • 401(K) Plan Management: Ensure contributions and deferral changes are made in a timely manner, and test plan annually.

Qualifications (preferred or required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or comparable experience
  • At least 5 years of Human Resource experience (required)
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Accounting experience preferred.

Work Environment & Compensation: This is a standard office position with both sitting and standing tasks, and light to moderate lifting.

Compensation Transparency: Pay will be determined based on relevant experience, education, and skillset, in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
