Awards Store - Laser Engraving - Graphic Design and Production

Viking Awards Inc is located in Westchester, IL. We are a family-owned business specializing in trophies, plaques, medals, and other types of custom engraving products and services. We have an immediate need for an individual to handle the laser engraving and product production work at our store. This position requires knowledge in Corel Draw with a willingness to learn laser engraving as part of the position. The position also requires completing the assembly of orders once the engraving is completed.

Responsibilities

• Create artwork and layouts and work with clients for approval
• Create concepts using creativity and graphic design skills based on client demands
• Produces printed and engraved products using laser printers
• Manage work schedule and ensure on-time completion of orders
• High attention to detail
• Ability to handle customer demands
• Assemble trophies, medals, and plaque as necessary
• Operates all equipment following equipment operating procedures
• Communicates with other employees for a complete understanding of the order
• Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner
• Performs troubleshooting of the equipment when necessary
• Rejects poor quality or incorrect jobs and notifies management
• Finishes jobs according to the work order as needed and when appropriate
• Helps with job packaging as needed
• Follows systems and procedures according to the company manuals
• Performs other duties as assigned

Who you are

• Experience with Corel Draw
• Previous experience with Engraving is a very nice to have
• An in-depth understanding of computers and printers
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Team Player
