AWM | GTN Media Management Specialist

Position Purpose:

This role manages, maintains, and updates digital media content and oversees actions and events within the media management system. This position recognizes and identifies potential areas needing improved efficiencies and enhancements. In addition, it manages the assets for the media management system and ingestion pipelines. It verifies that all progress documentation within the approved task management system is maintained.

Essential Duties:

• Ensures the successful broadcasts and quality of all video file uploads.
• Perform file uploads, including but not limited to PDFs, closed captioning, and audio/video.
• Metadata management at an enterprise scale.
• Utilize Apps Creator in our media management system.
• Daily use of our Centralized Hub Project Management system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create reports as needed using Microsoft Suite tools.
• Excels in communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle a wide variety of duties with minimal supervision.
• Ability to edit web images using programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.
• Experience managing video assets and familiarity with terms such as transcoding, codec, and bitrate.
• Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements:

• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must sign the Statement of Faith.
• A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
• Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in asset administration.
• Experience with internet live video is a plus.
• Experience with video editing software and best practices related to media is desired.
• Experience with Content management systems and Customer relationship management software.
• VOD or live streaming by ingesting from any video source.
• Experience and working knowledge of media management systems such as Zype, Vimeo, Brightcove, and NextCloud.
• Experience in preparing, processing, and publishing website audio/video files preferred.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience.
