Duties

• Design, develop, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudFormation to support scalable applications.
• Automate deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and PowerShell scripting to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
• Manage virtualization environments including VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace, Citrix, and Docker containers to enhance resource utilization and flexibility.
• Implement system hardening and security best practices across Linux and Windows operating systems to safeguard cloud environments against threats.
• Develop and maintain microservices architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, RESTful APIs, Node.js, Java, Python, Go, Ruby on Rails, and .NET frameworks for robust application development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies to support software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes from planning through deployment.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Jenkins and Meraki to ensure high availability; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Integrate cloud services with on-premises IT infrastructure such as VMware or Rackspace for hybrid cloud solutions; manage VPNs for secure connectivity.
• Conduct system documentation and participate in system audits including system hardening efforts to meet compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS with a strong understanding of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), and cloud architecture principles.
• Extensive knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace Cloud platforms; experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python; familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or similar tools for automated software deployment.
• Strong understanding of web services protocols including RESTful APIs; experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle T-SQL or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with network security concepts including VPNs; ability to implement system hardening measures across Linux/Windows environments.
• Background in computer science or related IT field; knowledge of microservices architecture and Internet of Things (IoT) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $119,701.55 - $144,156.72 per year
