As a Cloud Operations Architect, you’ll spearhead efficiency initiatives within our Cloud Operations team. You’ll serve as a key escalation point, providing expert technical guidance and hands-on support to both customers and team members. Your role is crucial in ensuring our customer environments perform optimally.
This position is 100% remote that sits in either the United States or Mexico.
Incident Management

Act as a high-level escalation point for critical customer issues

Review and analyze Problem Management tickets and Root Cause Analysis reports

Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent customer needs
Customer Success

Participate in the customer onboarding process

Provide technical guidance for AWS infrastructure implementations

Identify trends in monitoring tools and optimize alert thresholds with customers
Technical Operations

Create and maintain Terraform modules for efficient infrastructure deployment

Collaborate cross-departmentally on customer environment improvements
-
Manage the code that handles Mission’s backup, patching, and monitoring tools
-
Review merge requests and provide Change Advisory Board approval

Handle highly confidential customer information and environments
Continuous Improvement

Lead Cloud Operations improvement projects, including Terraform module development

Automate solutions for repetitive tasks
-
Build and maintain a documentation library for internal tooling
-
Identify improvement opportunities from customer alerts and implement action plans

4+ years in cloud architecture and operations focused on AWS
-
Strong background in System Administration (Linux and Windows)
-
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation)

Scripting skills (Python or Bash) with AWS SSM or Lambda experience

Familiarity with AWS managed services (ECS, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk)

Knowledge of APM tools (New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace)

Excellent problem-solving skills

AWS Professional Certification (required within 90 days of hire)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience providing world-class support in a customer-facing role
