AWS DevOps Lead

Job Description

As an AWS DevOps Tech Lead, candidate with minimum 8+ years of experience will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance development processes and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable AWS architectures.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
• Mentor and guide team members on best practices in DevOps and AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services and industry trends to enhance our cloud strategy.
  
  

General DevOps Requirements

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and cloud security practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a complex distributed environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on AWS environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and serverless architecture.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
