Azure data bricks engineer

Job Description:

We're hiring: Azure Databricks Engineers

Type: 6-month contract (extendable)

Experience - 5+ Years

Timing will be 3-11 pm IST

What you'll work on:

Building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark on Azure Databricks

Implementing Delta Lake features (ACID, time-travel, Z-ORDER, MERGE)

Writing performant Java-based data processing components

Orchestrating workflows via Databricks Workflows or Azure Data Factory

Driving CI/CD, observability, and cost-efficient cluster strategies

Collaborating with US stakeholders during evening IST hours (3-11 pm ist)

Skills we value:

Strong python fundamentals

Deep Spark and Delta Lake expertise

SQL, data modeling (medallion/lakehouse), and Azure ecosystem familiarity

CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Git, and notebook automation

Experience with Unity Catalog, Structured Streaming, and FinOps is a plus

Working with python, pyspark, SQL, spark SQL

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
