Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with approximately 3 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Azure Database services. Experience with AWS Databricks is also acceptable.

As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to provide clean, structured, and reliable datasets for analytics and operational use cases. You will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance for large-scale data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Databricks (or AWS Databricks).
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Azure data platforms such as Data Lake, Synapse, and Azure SQL.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide structured, reliable datasets for modeling and reporting.
• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and governance.
• Optimize data flows, storage, and processing for scalability and high performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliability and minimal downtime.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of data models and architectures supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related data role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (or AWS Databricks).
• Experience with Azure Database services and cloud data storage solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure or Databricks certifications.
• Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks.
• Exposure to data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar.
• Knowledge of MLOps, analytics platforms, or machine learning pipelines.
