Head of Distribution - Pattern

Pattern is a leading eCommerce accelerator with offices worldwide. We offer outsourced marketplace and ecommerce management services for brands worldwide.

This full time position is based in our Dubai office. We are looking for a Head of Distribution to develop and execute go to market strategies by identifying and managing key online and offline retail partnerships.

Day in the Life

The core responsibilities include:

  • Develop go to market strategy and identify retail distribution partnerships.
  • Negotiate distribution agreements and commercial terms with key partners.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders related to agreement creation, order placements, finance liaison, and marketing coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale contacts, ensuring all service levels are met and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Analyze weekly/monthly business reports, detail percentage target achieved, flag concerns, and take proactive measures.
  • Maintain stock levels, collaborate with marketing to meet store standards.
  • Budget projected distribution revenue, monitor sales performance, and optimize with finance and merchandising.
  • Create retailer stock files/order forms 2 months prior to launch and provide sell in information, images, and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with retailers on forecasts and purchase orders, ensuring on time delivery.
  • Conduct brand training and manage ongoing brand relationships, including physical store visits when appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Experience selling health supplements into pharmacy chains within UAE or GCC countries.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate distribution agreements and commercial terms.
  • 2-5 years' experience in an account management/distribution role.
  • Strong academic background (2:1 or above).
  • In-depth understanding of go to market strategies, retail partnerships, and both online and offline distribution channels.
  • Outstanding analytical and data management skills.
  • Humble, resilient, highly motivated, and outcome focused.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, startup type environment and pivot priorities.
  • Arabic language preferred (but not required).

Hiring Process
  1. Initial phone interview with Pattern's talent acquisition team.
  2. Video interview with a hiring manager.
  3. Second stage video interview with a presentation.
  4. Final interview with the MENA General Manager.
