About Search Miners

Search Miners is a Las Vegas-based SEO and GEO agency with a remote team nationwide. Our job is to make sure businesses get found, whether someone is typing into Google or asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews for a recommendation.

Search is changing faster than it has in twenty years. Buyers are starting their search inside AI answers, not just blue links, and most business owners have no idea how to show up there. We combine traditional SEO with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) to keep our clients visible across both classic search and the new AI-driven results. We work primarily with service-based businesses and take a practical, results-first approach.

The Opportunity

This is a B2B sales role for an entrepreneurial salesperson who can build a process, create their own strategy, and execute consistently.

Your core job is prospecting businesses, starting conversations, and booking qualified consultation calls with our Search Strategists. If you can close deals yourself, even better, and we reward that.

You also get a strong story to sell. "AI is starting to answer your customers' questions before they ever reach your website, and most of your competitors are invisible in those answers" opens doors right now. You are early to a category that is about to get crowded.

The path forward is fast. Prove yourself over six to twelve months and you will have real options: scale into a Sales Team Lead role and build your own team, move into a Senior Strategist role on the delivery side, or build a hybrid of both. You will be mentored directly by our VP of Growth.

What You'll Do

Outbound Prospecting and Lead Generation

  • Research and identify potential clients in target industries
  • Run cold outbound across phone, email, and light social outreach
  • Use lead generation tools such as ListKit and Apollo to build targeted lists
  • Develop and test your own outreach messaging

Qualification and Appointment Setting

  • Speak with business owners and decision makers daily
  • Qualify prospects and assess fit for our services
  • Book high-quality consultation calls for our Search Strategists
  • Close deals directly when the opportunity is there

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and conversations in the CRM
  • Manage your own follow-ups and handoffs to the delivery team
  • Track your metrics and optimize for conversion

This is a high-volume outbound role. Expect heavy daily call and email activity, especially in your first few months while you build pipeline.

Compensation

This is a base-plus-commission role built for people who want a floor to stand on and real upside to chase.

  • Base salary: $24,000 to $36,000 per year, depending on experience, paid regardless of commission
  • Tiered commission of 10 to 25 percent on the business you bring in, with the rate rising as your monthly production grows
  • On-target earnings of $70,000 to $100,000 in your first year for a solid performer, with strong performers earning more as their tier climbs
  • Self-close bonuses when you run the full cycle and close a deal yourself, not just book the meeting

Illustrative commission math:

  • $20,000 in monthly sales at 17.5 percent is about $3,500 per month in commission
  • $35,000 in monthly sales at 20 percent is about $7,000 per month in commission

We will walk you through the full tier structure on our first call. We are not going to pretend the numbers are bigger than they are, and we are happy to show you exactly how the math works.

After consistently strong production over three straight months, you become eligible for promotion to:

  • Sales Team Lead: recruit and manage your own team and earn override commissions
  • Senior Strategist: move into client delivery and strategy
  • Hybrid Role: split your time between selling and strategy

We would rather promote a proven performer than hire over them.

Who You Are

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or outbound prospecting
  • Comfortable with cold calling and cold email outreach (this is the core of the job)
  • Confident speaking with U.S.-based business owners and decision makers
  • Clear spoken English and strong conversational skills
  • Familiarity with cold email tools (Smartlead, Instantly, Apollo, or similar)
  • Familiarity with lead generation tools (ListKit, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar)
  • Experience using a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and motivated by results
  • Available to work remotely during PST to EST business hours

Strongly Preferred

  • Prior experience in digital marketing or SEO
  • Experience selling services rather than products
  • A track record of hitting or exceeding quota
  • Experience closing deals end-to-end

Bonus

  • Understanding of SEO, GEO, AI search, or local search
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment

  • A short cold email you would send to a potential client (pick one: local service business, law firm, med spa, or home services company). Keep it under 150 words.
  • A cold call opener (the first 15 to 30 seconds of the call).
  • One follow-up email you would send if the prospect does not respond.
  • Your availability for an initial phone screening with our VP of Growth.
