JOB DESCRIPTION – BA LLB TEACHER (LEGAL STUDIES & POLITICAL SCIENCE)

1. Position Overview
The BA LLB Teacher will be responsible for teaching Legal Studies and Political Science to senior school students as per the CBSE curriculum. The teacher is expected to deliver engaging lessons, ensure academic excellence, maintain discipline, evaluate student progress, and support the holistic development of learners.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Academic Delivery
- Teach Legal Studies (XI–XII) and Political Science (X–XII) as per the CBSE syllabus.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and yearly academic plans.
- Use interactive teaching methodologies to develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Clarify complex legal concepts with real-life examples and case studies.
- Ensure syllabus completion within the stipulated timeframe.
- Conduct class tests, unit tests, periodic assessments, and pre-board exams.
- Maintain detailed records of students’ performance and progress.
B. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline, decorum, and a positive learning environment.
- Promote respectful discussion and healthy debates in class.
- Address student queries and academic concerns promptly.
C. Student Development
- Guide students for board exam preparation, project work, and assignments.
- Mentor students for law-related competitions, debates, moot courts, MUN, etc.
- Provide career guidance for law, humanities, civil services, and allied fields.
D. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by CBSE norms.
- Participate in PTMs, department meetings, school events, and trainings.
- Prepare question papers and evaluation sheets following CBSE guidelines.
- Support the school in admission counselling when required.
E. Professional Conduct
- Follow school policies, code of conduct, and confidentiality norms.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum revisions, NEP guidelines, and pedagogical practices.
- Participate in continuous professional development and in-service trainings.
3. Qualifications & ExperienceRequired:
- BA LLB / LLB / Integrated Law Degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in senior grades (preferred).
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum for Legal Studies and Political Science.
Preferred:
- Experience in conducting moot courts, debates, or legal awareness sessions.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for developing student interest in law and governance.

- Strong subject knowledge in Indian Constitution, Political Theory, Law, Legal Aptitude, Judiciary, Rights, Duties & Governance.
- Ability to simplify legal content for school students.
