Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive band curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups
• Lead rehearsals, performances, and competitions to showcase student progress and build confidence
• Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive, disciplined, and inclusive environment
• Provide individual tutoring and group instruction to enhance technical skills and musical understanding
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader educational programs
• Organize special events such as concerts, community outreach programs, and cultural festivals
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance assessments

Experience

• Proven experience in teaching band or instrumental music in educational settings
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in diverse learning environments
• Knowledge of various musical genres, performance techniques, and rehearsal strategies
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and special education accommodations is a plus
• Skills in photography, theater arts, ballet, or dancing are advantageous for interdisciplinary projects
• Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings enhances your ability to connect with younger students

Pay: $13.50 - $14.25 per hour
