Babysitter in Oak Island Needed

A kind, down-to-earth family vacationing on Oak Island is seeking an experienced, engaging babysitter to care for their two young children for one week this April. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a nanny who enjoys active, hands-on days and feels confident supporting a child with special needs.

Schedule:
April 6th–10th
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily

Location:
Oak Island (near the country club)
No driving required. The family will have a golf cart available for short rides close to the property.

Children:

• 2.5-year-old girl
• 4-year-old boy (non-verbal, autistic, not yet potty trained; communicates well in his own way)

The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and experienced with toddlers and/or children on the autism spectrum. You should feel comfortable assisting with diapering/toileting support, facilitating structured play, and helping create calm, engaging days while the family enjoys their vacation.

There are no pets in the home.

Compensation:
$28–$30 per hour
Total weekly pay: $980–$1,050

Qualifications/Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
• Willing to undergo and pass a background check
• Provide 2 to 3 professional references
• Experience with multiple children
• Able to walk up and down stairs carrying 30+ pounds, active and energetic
• Proactive and able to take initiative
• Reliable and willing to care for special need child
