Babysitting / Personal Care Attendant

We’re looking for a caring, patient, and responsible babysitter to help care for our two children, ages 1 and 3.5. The ideal person will enjoy engaging playtime, helping with simple routines including dinner and bedtime, and creating a calm, supportive environment.

About the job:

• Facilitate playtime and simple activities (both structured and free play)
• Supervise snack time and dinner (meals will be prepared in advance)
• Help with light clean-up after meals and play
• Provide extra support for our 3.5-year-old, who has physical and developmental disabilities and needs assistance with mobility and certain tasks

Who we’re looking for:

• Someone dependable, nurturing, and comfortable working with young children
• Experience with children under 4 required
• Experience with special needs or a willingness to learn preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow routines
• Comfortable managing both children’s needs simultaneously

Details:

• Location: Dedham, MA
• Ideal Schedule: 2 shifts per week - 2 weeknights per week 3-7 or 9-1 on Saturday or Sunday
• Total Compensation: $25/h (MassHealth has authorized $20/h for care for our 3.5yr old with disabilities through the Personal Care Attendant Program. We are adding $5/h personally to bring the total to $25. )
• Start date: as soon as possible
