Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
• Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to support accurate diagnoses while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Support front desk operations by coordinating patient appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling administrative tasks related to medical coding and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following strict infection control standards to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions, dental terminology, and procedures to enhance their understanding and comfort.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Must be bilingual ( Spanish) speaking person
• Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to improve workflow efficiency.
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment like 3D scanners and X-ray machines accurately.
• Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic setting.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient interaction roles to ensure clear information exchange. Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
