Back-of-House Takeout & Delivery Coordinator (Kitchen – Part-Time Weekends)

Job Description:
We’re a busy, casual Italian and pizza restaurant seeking a Back-of-House Takeout & Delivery Coordinator whose primary responsibility is handling high-volume phone orders during peak hours. This role is based in the kitchen and will be the first point of contact for customers calling the restaurant. It plays a key part in ensuring accurate, efficient takeout and delivery service. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, detail-oriented, and able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer a high volume of incoming calls and take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Enter orders into the POS system with attention to detail (modifications, timing, addresses)
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time
• Help organize and pack takeout and delivery orders
• Double-check all items and special requests before orders go out
• Coordinate the pickup area for delivery drivers to ensure smooth handoffs
• Maintain a clean and organized takeout/phone station
• Assist with light kitchen support and side work as needed

• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy rushes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable and punctual
• Previous restaurant, pizza shop, or phone order experience is a plus
