Duties

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills.
• Support meal assembly and plating to ensure presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety regulations.
• Aid in menu planning and ingredient inventory management to ensure availability of fresh supplies.
• Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes and ensuring timely service.
• Collaborate with culinary team members to execute daily kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
• Experience working in fine dining or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including cooking and meal assembly.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices.
• Skills in kitchen operations such as knife handling, food industry knowledge, and catering support.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
