Backend Automation Engineer (n8n + Python/JS) — Screening Phase

Summary

We are screening for a backend engineer who uses n8n as an orchestration tool, not as a no-code crutch.

This is not a no-code role.
You must be comfortable writing Python or JavaScript, working with APIs, and debugging real production issues.

We are intentionally not sharing project details yet. Selected candidates will move to a paid technical screening task.

Hard Requirements (Must Have)
Strong backend fundamentalsAbility to write Python or JavaScript

Experience with:
REST APIs
Webhooks
JSON payloads
Auth headers & error handling
Hands-on experience using n8n in real workflows

Comfortable deploying/debugging on a VPS (Docker knowledge is a plus)

If you only build drag-and-drop automations without coding, this role is not a fit.

Nice to Have
Twilio (SMS or Voice)
FastAPI or similar
Prior experience replacing Zapier/Make with n8n
Experience with production automations (not just demos)

Describe a real bug you debugged involving APIs or webhooks.

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs180,000.00 per month
