Backend Developer

We're Hiring: Backend Developer – PHP, Laravel

We are seeking talented and experienced Backend Developer with a strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework to join our growing development team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our web applications. Your expertise in PHP and Laravel, combined with your problem-solving skills, will contribute to the creation of efficient, scalable, and robust backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend systems using Laravel and Core PHP
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Work closely with frontend teams and integrate frontend technologies (TypeScript, React, React Native)
• Optimize applications for performance and scalability
• Manage and configure server-side operations (deployment, maintenance, configuration)
• Implement security and data protection best practices
• Develop and maintain efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Perform code reviews and maintain existing codebases
• Design and manage scalable database schemas and optimize queries
• Handle real-time communication systems using WebSocket/WebRTC
• Work with queues, Redis, and in-memory caching tools.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle – from planning to deployment

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 years of hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel
• Strong grasp of OOP principles and MVC architecture
• Deep understanding of RDBMS and database design
• Familiarity with GNU/Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience in high-traffic, scalable systems
• Comfortable working with nginx, queues, and Redis
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to debug complex issues

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with frontend frameworks like React/Next Js
• Hands-on experience with WebSocket / WebRTC
• Prior exposure to microservices architecture

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,500.00 per month
