Requirements needed for this role:

1. Interoperability & Standards:

· Design and implement FHIR R4 RESTful APIs using the HAPI FHIR library.

· Build parsers and validators for HL7 v2.x messages (ADT, ORM, ORU) coming from hospital EMRs.

· Map standard medical coding systems (ICD-10-AM, CPT, LOINC) to our internal reference data.

2. Anti-Corruption Layer (ACL) Implementation:

· Strictly follow Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to build an Anti-Corruption Layer.

· Ensure that external DTOs (FHIR Resources/HL7 Segments) are never leaked into the Domain Layer. You will write the mappers (using MapStruct) to convert them into clean Domain Entities.

3. Gateway Integration (KSA & UAE):

· Lead the technical integration with regional health exchanges such as NAPHIES (KSA) and Malaffi (UAE).

· Handle mutual TLS (mTLS), token management, and soap-to-rest transformation if required by legacy government endpoints.

4. Backend Development (Spring Boot):

· Develop high-performance integration services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.

· Use Spring Integration or Apache Camel (if applicable) for message routing and transformation.

· Adhere to our strict RFC 7807 error handling standards—when an HL7 message fails validation, the API must return a precise, standardized error.

5. Testing & Validation:

· Write Integration Tests using Testcontainers to simulate FHIR servers and HL7 feeds.

· Validate compliance using official validator tools (e.g., Inferno, Touchstone) to ensure our implementation meets certification standards.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Knowledge required for this role:

• Experience: 5+ years in Java Backend Development, with at least 2 years dedicated to Healthcare Interoperability.
• Healthcare Standards Mastery:
• Deep understanding of FHIR Resources (Patient, Coverage, Claim, ExplanationOfBenefit).
• Working knowledge of HL7 v2 pipe-delimited formats.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, ACHI, and DRG coding standards.
• Technical Stack:
• Expertise in Java Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA.
• Hands-on experience with HAPI FHIR (the essential Java library for FHIR).
• Experience with PostgreSQL (specifically querying JSONB columns for semi-structured clinical data).
• Architecture:
• Understanding of Clean Architecture and why we separate "Integration Logic" from "Business Logic."
• Experience designing APIs that are backward-compatible.

• The Salary package for this role is AED 17,000 (all included)
