Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend services using technologies such as C#, .NET, Java, Python, and Node.js to support web applications and APIs.
• Design and optimize database schemas for relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Build RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate communication between frontend interfaces and backend systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
• Implement microservices architecture to enhance scalability and maintainability of applications.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Utilize version control tools like GitHub, SVN, or TFS for efficient code management and collaboration within Agile development cycles.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment (CI/CD), and maintenance.
• Apply best practices in security protocols and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
• Document system designs using UML diagrams and technical specifications for clarity and future reference.

Requirements

• Proven experience in web development with a strong focus on backend programming languages such as C#, Java, Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Solid understanding of ASP.NET frameworks (including ASP.NET MVC), WCF services, SOAP/REST APIs, and Web services architecture.
• Hands-on experience with database design, SQL query optimization (T-SQL), stored procedures, and database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks including React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap for full-stack integration.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and using tools like TFS or Jira for project management.
• Strong debugging skills combined with proficiency in Visual Studio or Eclipse IDEs for efficient development workflows.
• Understanding of microservices architecture principles along with containerization tools like Docker is a plus.
• Ability to write clean code adhering to best practices in OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes effectively.

Pay: $115,640.43 - $139,265.89 per year
