Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our OGEX Project – an AI-powered spot-trading platform for agri-products. You will be responsible for building secure APIs, designing robust data models, and enabling seamless transactions through FastAPI and PostgreSQL. This role involves developing core backend modules for RFQ, quotations, contracts, payments, and AI-based automation under guidance of the core architecture team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend APIs using FastAPI and PostgreSQL (JSONB).
• Design and manage scalable database schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Integrate Celery/RQ for background jobs, notifications, and SLA timers.
• Implement secure authentication (OTP, RBAC) and audit logging.
• Handle file storage (S3-compatible) and contract generation using python-docx + WeasyPrint.
• Collaborate with frontend developers for API integration and testing.
• Optimize performance, monitor system health, and ensure uptime.
• Follow version control practices (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• Strong command of Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with Redis, Celery/RQ, and background processing.
• Knowledge of Docker, REST APIs, and Git workflows.
• Experience with document generation (Docx/PDF) and file storage (S3).
• Understanding of RBAC, OTP-based login, and security best practices.
• Optional: Familiarity with AI rule engines or pricing automation.

Selection Process

1) Initial screening and discussion on past projects.
2) Technical test – build a small FastAPI endpoint connected to PostgreSQL.
3) Final conversation with the Top Management Team.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
