Backend Developer – Google Cloud / CMS / AlloyDB (In-Office, Relocation Required)

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with modern backend technologies, CMS platforms, and Google Cloud Products. You will collaborate with internal teams to develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance backend systems and integrations. This is a full-time, in-office role, and relocation will be required for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs for internal tools and customer-facing applications
• Work with CMS platforms to build, customize, and optimize modular content solutions
• Utilize Google Cloud Products extensively, including AlloyDB, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and related services
• Collaborate with front-end teams working with Next.js and Vue.js
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and scalability
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack and implement long-term resolutions
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and Agile workflows using Jira
• Maintain version control best practices using Git
• Work cross-functionally with designers, project managers, and leadership teams
• Manage documentation and maintain organization across all Google Workspace products
• Contribute ideas, improvements, and process enhancements to help drive company growth

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and associated products
• Hands-on experience with AlloyDB
• Experience with CMS systems and backend CMS integrations
• Familiarity working with Next.js and Vue.js frameworks
• Proficiency in Git, Jira, and Google Suite (Workspace)
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, system architecture, and deployment pipelines
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team
• Willingness to relocate and work in office
• Strong ambition, motivation, and desire to grow within the company

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

• Google Cloud certifications
• Experience with affiliate-based websites
• SEO fundamentals and best practices
• Experience working in rapidly scaling teams or startups

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
