As part of the HaloScape team, you'll work on the design of a product that isn't just another wellness tracker it's a health super app redefining how individuals understand and manage their well-being.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and maintain backend services for the HaloScape app
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications
• Work with Firebase services (Cloud Functions, Auth, Firestore) to build scalable and secure features
• Gain hands-on experience with Node.js and containerization using Docker
• Support integration of third-party APIs, SDKs, and messaging/queue systems
• Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability
• Assist in monitoring, debugging, and improving existing backend infrastructure

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Practical development experience with the Node.js ecosystem (at least 1–2 concrete projects through coursework, personal projects, or internships)
• Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals and at least one messaging/queue system
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with at least one NoSQL database
• Understanding of REST API design, error handling, pagination, and versioning
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Curiosity about health tech, wearable devices, and personalized wellness
