Backend Developer (Python + AWS)

Jupytr (jupy.tr) is an AI legal assistant that helps lawyers and legal teams research millions of court decisions, analyze precedents, review/draft documents, and work faster with full confidence. We’ve already launched in Turkey with clients like Garanti BBVA, Aksan, Allianz, and Hergüner. Now we’re expanding internationally and adding new features and use cases.

Role Description

We’re looking for a backend developer with strong Python skills and hands-on AWS experience to manage our database infrastructure and build scalable backend services.

Requirements

Graduate of Computer Engineering (or related) departments from Boğazici University, Koç University, Bilkent University, Middle Eastern Technical University (METU), Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and Sabancı University

At least 5 years of experience specifically in backend development and AWS is preferred over full-stack development

Solid experience in Python (data ops + backend systems)

Strong AWS background (RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/Lambda, OpenSearch, SQS, EventBridge, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2)

Comfortable with containerized deployments and distributed systems

Ability to build APIs, optimize DB performance, and deploy to production securely/automatically

Native-level proficiency in Turkish

Professional-level proficiency in English
