Backend Developer (Python/Node | HIPAA/GDPR | FHIR/HL7)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in healthcare data standards and compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building secure, scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI) and is familiar with FHIR/HL7 integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python FastAPI
• Implement and integrate FHIR, HL7 data standards
• Ensure systems meet HIPAA and GDPR security and privacy requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize healthcare data workflows
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring high availability and performance

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years backend development experience (Python, Node.js preferred)
• Strong experience with FastAPI
• Proven experience with FHIR/HL7 implementations
• Solid understanding of HIPAA/GDPR compliance
• Familiarity with healthcare data pipelines and interoperability standards
• Strong problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• DevOps or CI/CD experience
