Backend Developer (WordPress)

Impressive Sol is looking for a versatile Backend Web Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in custom web design and development. The primary focus of this role is on the WordPress platform, and we are seeking an expert who can build sophisticated, custom-designed websites from the ground up. The ideal candidate will also possess working knowledge of other major CMS and e-commerce platforms, allowing them to adapt and deliver high-quality solutions across a diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain high-quality, custom-designed websites, with a strong emphasis on WordPress.
• Translate complex design mockups into fully functional, responsive, and performant websites.
• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
• Apply your knowledge to manage and develop projects on other CMS platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or headless systems as needed.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend website functionality.
• Ensure all projects follow best practices for speed, security, and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in custom web development.

Core Web Technologies:

• Expert-level command of PHP for backend development.
• Strong, hands-on proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Solid experience with MySQL database design and management.

Primary CMS Expertise (Mandatory):

• WordPress: Deep, practical experience in custom theme and plugin development, understanding of core architecture, hooks, and the REST API.
• Secondary CMS Skills (Valued):
• Experience with any of the following is a significant plus: Shopify, Magento, Drupal, Joomla, or headless CMS like Contentful or Strapi.

Essential:

• A strong portfolio demonstrating 1 year of experience building custom web designs,
• Ability to take a project from a design concept to a live, fully-functional website.

Job Timings

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM (with a lunch break from 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM).
• Friday: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (with a combined lunch and Jumma prayer break from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM).
• Saturday: Half-day, 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive salary package will be offered based on the candidate's skills and experience.
• Please note that this position does not include a Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA).
