About Mixo Ads
Mixo Ads is transforming AI-driven advertising for multi-location brands. We partner with major U.S. companies and governments to redefine how they use AI for advertising at scale. Our mission is to automate, optimize, and personalize advertising strategies through cutting-edge technology. We’re a lean, high-impact startup where speed, creativity, and experimentation matter more than structure. If you thrive in fast-changing environments, love building real systems that run at scale, and want your work to directly shape the company’s future — we’d love to talk.
- READ: We move fast. Priorities can shift, and systems evolve quickly. If you prefer predictable processes over progress, this may not be the right environment.
Our Tech Stack
- Front-End: Next.js (React), Tailwind, Shadcn
- Back-End: Postgres (Supabase), Vercel, Edge Functions
- AI Stack: OpenAI, Claude, Gemini APIs
The Role
We’re hiring our Backend Engineer (API, Automations & Advertising Integrations) to lead the development of our ad automation backend — the engine powering campaign creation, optimization, and performance intelligence across multiple ad networks.
You’ll work closely with our CEO and full-stack engineer to design and implement systems that connect to APIs like Meta Ads, Google Ads, Bing Ads, TikTok Ads, and Snapchat Ads — fetching analytics, generating AI-based content, and optimizing campaigns automatically.
This role blends API engineering, automation design, and AI integration — ideal for someone who loves building smart, scalable systems that actually do things.
What You’ll Do
- Build deep integrations with multiple ad platforms APIs (Meta, Google, Bing, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)
- Manage all core functions: account linking, campaign creation, audience/targeting setup, ad creative generation, analytics fetching, and optimization
- Integrate OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini APIs to dynamically generate ad creatives and optimize performance
- Build and maintain daily data pipelines between ad platforms and Supabase
- Work with our full-stack engineer to connect backend logic to the dashboard
- Design prompt logic for AI ad generation (you’ll have help from the CEO for this)
- Create internal APIs, logs, and dashboards for monitoring campaign performance and optimization
- Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant
- Lead technical design and documentation for these integrations
What You Bring
- 1–5 years of backend and API development experience
- Proven experience working with REST APIs, OAuth, and large-scale integrations
- Strong understanding of data flow, scheduling, retries, and rate-limiting
- Solid foundation in Node.js (or Python/Go if preferred)
- Curiosity and willingness to learn how ad platforms work under the hood
- Ability to work independently and own complete systems
- Bonus: Experience with ad platform APIs, AI/ML integrations, or marketing automation systems
You’ll Fit Here If You
- Are a builder — you enjoy creating systems that work across multiple APIs
- Move fast and think in terms of prototypes, experiments, and iterations
- Write clean, maintainable code but know when to optimize for speed
- Want to grow with a company that values ownership, not titles
- Communicate well — you’ll work directly with the Founder
Next Steps
- If your profile matches what we’re looking for, you’ll be invited for a short intro conversation with Kartik (Founder/CEO).
- You’ll complete a short technical assessment.
- We’ll review it.
- If it’s a fit — welcome to Mixo!
