Job Summary

We are seeking to hire an experienced Backend Engineer – Java at Tiqmo, to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend microservices, which are critical components of our fintech platform. To leverage your deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot to build scalable and robust solutions that drive the success of our financial services.

Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities

Backend Development:

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Microservices Architecture:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of microservices architecture, ensuring modularity and independence of services.
• Promote best practices for microservices development.

API Development:

• Build RESTful APIs or similar protocols (e.g. Dubbo RPC/ gRPC) that facilitate communication between microservices, front-end applications, and external partners.
• Ensure secure and efficient data transfer.

Database Integration:

• Work with various database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to design and maintain data models and access patterns that support the microservices.

Performance Optimization:

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and implement caching strategies to improve system performance.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to maintain code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Code Review and Collaboration:

• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with other developers to achieve a well-integrated and seamless codebase.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure that the backend services adhere to security best practices and meet financial industry compliance standards.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement necessary measures.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, architecture, and APIs to facilitate team understanding and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with Java and Spring Boot best practices, and identify opportunities for system improvements and optimizations

Requirements and Qualifications

• 5+ Years of proven track record.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Spring Boot developer, with a strong focus on microservices.
• Proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with API development, database integration, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
