Backflow Prevention Device Tester

This is a full-time Certified Backflow Technician position, requiring on-site work based in Fairfax, VA. The technician will conduct backflow prevention device testing, repairs, and installations to ensure compliance with local and state regulations. Duties include routine maintenance on prevention devices, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring proper functionality of equipment. The role demands working alongside other team members and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in backflow prevention testing, maintenance, and installation
• Knowledge of state and local plumbing codes and backflow regulations
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving issues
• Effective communication and ability to provide clear, detailed reports
• Current backflow prevention certification and driver's license
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Experience in the mechanical or plumbing field is preferred

Pay: $53.30 - $56.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Backflow Certification (Required)
• Journeyman Plumber (Required)
