Backhoe Loader Operator (Caterpillar)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Caterpillar backhoe loaders for excavation, trenching, grading, loading, and backfilling tasks
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
• Ensure safe operation in compliance with site safety rules and company policies
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and ground workers
• Load, unload, and move materials such as soil, sand, gravel, and debris
• Identify and report mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain clean and safe work areas

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Backhoe Loader Operator, preferably on Caterpillar machines
• Valid Heavy Vehicle / Construction Equipment Operator License (as per local regulations)
• Knowledge of construction site safety standards
• Ability to work long hours and in varying weather conditions
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
• Basic understanding of equipment maintenance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience in roadwork, utilities, or infrastructure projects
• Understanding of soil conditions and excavation techniques

Work Conditions

• Construction or infrastructure project sites
• May involve shifts, overtime, or weekend work
