Role Overview
We are seeking a Bahrain Market Research Lead who will own market intelligence, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making for our Bahrain launch.
This role is both strategic and execution-oriented. In addition to research and insights, the role will contribute to early market development and go-to-market execution, working closely with leadership, product, and partnerships teams.
You will act as the voice of the customer, the market, and early commercial reality inside Reelbook.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research & Insights (≈75%)
- Conduct in-depth market research on Bahrain’s travel, dining, leisure, and lifestyle segments
- Define and validate key user personas (locals, expats, Saudi weekend visitors, tourists)
- Analyze competitors, substitutes, and informal alternatives (social media, WhatsApp bookings, etc.)
- Size market opportunity (TAM, SAM, SOM) and validate priority use-cases
- Design and execute user interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability testing
- Work closely with product and design teams to validate features, flows, pricing, and positioning
- Define and track key launch KPIs (activation, retention, conversion, repeat usage)
- Build dashboards, reports, and actionable insights for leadership decision-making
Market Development & Commercial Support (≈25%)
- Support go-to-market strategy with data-backed recommendations
- Collaborate with Partnerships & BD teams by providing:
- Partner category prioritization
- Commission and pricing benchmarks
- Market feedback from partners and early users
- Participate selectively in early partner discussions to gather market signals and validate assumptions
- Identify early growth opportunities, pilot campaigns, and test-and-learn experiments
- Provide competitive and customer insights to support commercial negotiations and positioning
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in market research, growth analytics, strategy, or insights roles
- Prior experience contributing to or launching a successful consumer app, marketplace, or digital platform is a strong advantage
- Experience in travel, food & beverage, hospitality, lifestyle, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms preferred
- Strong analytical, presentation, and storytelling skills (Excel, dashboards, reports)
- Hands-on experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to translate data into clear product, growth, and business recommendations
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup or pilot-stage environment
- English required; Arabic is a strong plus
