Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble bakery and deli items according to quality standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and baked goods
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items to enhance sales
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, food displays, and customer areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Restock shelves, display cases, and refrigerated units to ensure product availability and visual appeal
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as wrapping sandwiches, assembling salads, or preparing baked goods for sale
• Support cashiering duties by managing cash registers accurately while providing excellent service during busy hours

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafés is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in transaction processing
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks quickly while maintaining quality standards
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and inventory management
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and effective communication abilities
• Experience working in retail or grocery store settings is a plus; culinary experience is valued but not required
