Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for sales transactions
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Upsell bakery items by recommending products and promoting specials to increase sales
• Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cashiering and basic math calculations
• Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the bakery area is clean, sanitized, and inviting
• Support food preparation tasks in the kitchen or café area as needed, including bussing tables or cleaning equipment
• Follow all food industry regulations related to safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods in a quick service or fast food setting

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, retail, or a grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow in the food industry
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience in culinary arts or kitchen work demonstrates your ability to handle food preparation responsibilities effectively
• Strong time management skills are essential for multitasking in a fast-paced bakery setting
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices ensures compliance with health regulations
• Customer service experience helps you connect with guests and create positive interactions that encourage repeat visits
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
