Bakery Associate/ Barista/Front Counter

Job Overview
We are a bakery in Worcester looking for a front counter associate to sell coffee and box pastries. These are morning shifts with the same days off each week.

In these roles, you will support the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products are prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will assist in food preparation, coffee preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baked goods and coffee beverages.

Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including equipment
• Dedicated barista to attend to the espresso machine and coffee grinder
• Dedicated person to receive orders, receive payment, and package pastries
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Presentation: Restock the pastries at the front counter

Skills

• Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for customers.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations in the food industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a plus
• Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is advantageous.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Most importantly we are looking for team oriented people that want to work with people. A drive to learn about coffee and baked goods is a big plus.

Weekends required.
All morning shifts. No evenings.
