Bakery Associate/Cashier

Join us as a bakery associate/cashier at the Blue Gate Bakery in Shipshewana, Indiana. As a bakery associate/cashier, you will provide excellent service while helping customers purchase delicious baked goods, including homemade cookies, donuts, fudge, pies, and more! A bakery associate/cashier stays busy assisting customers, taking accurate orders, using a cash register, stocking and rotating products, packaging, pricing, and helping the bakery team with other tasks.

Bakery Associate/Cashier Responsibilities

• Your primary focus is helping guests!
• Taking accurate orders.
• Running a cash register.
• Count money and return exact change.
• Stocking shelves.
• Rotating perishable items.
• Other assignedtasks.

As a bakery associate/cashier, you will work part-time, including days, evenings, and Saturdays. The bakery hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Paid training is provided. Adult wages start at up to $15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Bakery Associate/Cashier Requirements:

• Adaptable and understanding with a welcoming personality
• Ensure that products are in the cases and on the shelves, including rotation when necessary
• Must communicate clearly and effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers
• Accuracy and efficiency in job performance
• Must work on Saturdays (No Sundays!)
• Must be at least 17 years old
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and bend, stretch, reach, and stand for an entire shift

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
