Bakery Baker, Mixer and Fryer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and preparation, with experience in baking, mixing dough and frying. This role combines the responsibilities of preparing baked goods, operating mixing equipment, and baking and frying various items within a bakery setting. This position requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to excellent customer service. This is a full-time , third shift position requiring being able to work from midnight to 8am including weekends.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Prepare ingredients, mix, knead, shape dough, and monitor the baking process.
  • Operate mixing equipment to achieve desired product consistency and quality, accurately scaling and mixing ingredients.
  • Operate and maintain frying equipment, shaping dough, adding filling, and monitoring the frying process.
  • Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are strictly followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frying station and surrounding areas.
  • Assist in packaging finished products for display or sale.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Participate in inventory management, including tracking supplies needed for food production.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding bakery items.

Skills

  • Strong culinary experience with a focus on frying techniques.
  • Proficient in food preparation and handling, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Experience in baking and pastry production is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaing attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and customers.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently.

Requirements

Essential requirements include experience in food production, knowledge of food safety practices, familiarity with bakery equipment, attention to detail, teamwork skills, and the ability to follow recipes accurately. Basic math skills are needed for measuring ingredients. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle various tasks. Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive motions in an environment with varying temperatures. Flexibility and a passion for the industry are also important.
