Bakery Cahier/ Barista

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, assisting in restocking as necessary.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support each other during busy periods.
• Stay informed about menu items, promotions, and seasonal offerings to enhance sales opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is a plus.
• Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
• A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with customers.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week

Experience:

• Guest services: 1 year (Preferred)
• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
