Bakery Cake Designer

Duties

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods to meet customer orders and standards.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair while adhering to food safety regulations.
• Package finished products for sale, ensuring they are presented attractively and securely.
• Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping, mixing, and measuring ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with clients, taking orders, and addressing inquiries about products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food production processes.
• Follow all food safety protocols during food handling and preparation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in baking or pastry arts; culinary experience is highly desirable.
• Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail.
• Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Excellent knife skills for efficient food preparation.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
• Strong customer service skills to enhance the dining experience for guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
