Core responsibilities
- Baking and preparation: Prepare and bake a wide variety of goods such as breads, cakes, cookies, and pastries.
- Recipe creation: Develop new recipes and improve existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Decoration and presentation: Decorate and present baked goods to meet high-quality standards and customer expectations.
- Inventory and ordering: Monitor stock levels, order ingredients and supplies, and manage equipment.
- Quality control: Ensure all products meet consistent standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
- Sanitation and safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Team and kitchen collaboration: Work with other kitchen staff, and in some cases, train and supervise junior staff.
- Customer interaction: Discuss custom orders with customers for special occasions.
