Bakery Clerk

Scratch family owned bakery located in Kaukauna looking to add to our sales clerk team as we head into our Summer Season. This position includes store opening {stocking product and prepping our storefront, filling orders, tasks such as making coffee], customer service, waiting on customers, answering phones, taking orders, handling custom and detailed orders, retail and wholesale packaging and slicing (breads, buns, etc.), various closing and opening tasks, light cleaning, etc.

Hours

• Part Time Shift: Tuesday through Saturday 5am - 11am . Days and Hours will vary. Minimum 25 hours required. 3-4 Days during Week + Saturdays Required.

Wage

• Starting at $14 / Hour + Tips. Tips will average an extra $1 - $2 per hour. Tips will be distributed after employee is able to wait on customers and take orders unassisted.

Summary

As a Bakery Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our bakery customers. With core skills in food service , customer service and credit card and cash handling, you will be responsible for assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery area. Your premium skills in food preparation, packaging and upselling will help you excel in showcasing our bakery products and increasing sales. Additionally, your relevant skills in sanitation, kitchen experience, and retail math will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our bakery operations. Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with experience in a fast-paced food service environment
• Proficiency in cash handling, card transactions, and basic math skills
• Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
• Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food industry setting a plus but not required
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and a passion for culinary arts a plus but not required
• Excellent time management and upselling abilities
• Positive attitude, Friendly, Reliable and comfortable working with customers
• Can handle fast-paced days and multi-tasking
• Ability to work alone and with others without direction
