Key Responsibilities:
1. Production & Quality Control
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily bakery production.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all baked goods.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Monitor product freshness and minimize waste.
2. Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staff scheduling.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure teamwork and smooth kitchen coordination.
3. Cost Control & Inventory
- Monitor food cost and labor cost.
- Control portion sizes and reduce wastage.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quality ingredients.
4. Hygiene & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of bakery equipment and work areas.
- Enforce health and safety regulations.
5. Operational Management
- Ensure timely production for daily sales and special orders.
- Handle customer feedback related to bakery products.
- Coordinate with other departments (kitchen, service, management).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or Bakery Chef.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred).
