Kitchen Supervisor-ASAP
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bakery Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily bakery kitchen operations in Frankenmuth, MI. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong organizational skills, hands-on baking experience, and the ability to motivate and guide a team to deliver exceptional baked products consistently and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bakery kitchen staff.
- Ensure all baked goods are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Train, mentor, and support bakery team members.
- Assign tasks and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Minimize product waste and maintain cost control measures.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of bakery equipment.
- Assist with production planning and forecasting based on business needs.
- Address employee performance issues and provide coaching as needed.
- Support the Bakery Manager in achieving operational and sales goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food production kitchen
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a high-volume bakery environment
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Experience with scheduling and labor cost management
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
