Pavé Bakery is looking for a Market Operations Manager to help lead one of the most important parts of our business: weekend markets!

This is a minimum 30-hour/week full-time position for someone who is organized, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and excited to grow with a small but fast-moving bakery. You will be a key figure in the making and selling of our croissants!

The role has a steady weekly rhythm, but it is also dynamic. Weekend markets involve a lot of moving pieces, and the right person will enjoy solving practical problems, communicating clearly, and keeping things running smoothly.

At the start, this role will focus on maintaining and strengthening the market system we have already built. The Market Operations Manager will own key weekend operations from Friday through Sunday, including market staffing, product pull lists, special-order coordination, proofing room logistics, product staging, and the small edge cases that come up each week. They will work closely with production and sales staff to make sure markets are properly staffed, products are pulled to proof correctly, and changes are communicated before they become problems.

In addition to market operations, this person will support the Operations Manager with general production of our pastries, special orders, and the production details that support them.

A typical week will include consistent Wednesday–Friday hours, generally 5:00am–1:00pm, with one weekend operations block most weeks depending on market and event needs + on call paid time.

Over time, this role will grow beyond maintaining the current system. The Market Operations Manager will help develop Pavé’s market channel through improved staffing systems, stronger sales processes, product testing, display improvements, market research, hiring and training sales staff, and identifying opportunities for growth.

The right person is dependable, comfortable making decisions, and able to communicate clearly with both production and sales teams. Bakery experience is helpful but not required. Strong judgment, ownership, follow-through, and a willingness to learn are more important.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, solving practical problems, and taking responsibility for a key part of a growing bakery.
