- Focused on the design, maintenance, and operational integrity of lifting equipment (EOT cranes, hoists, gantries) within large-scale industrial facilities like power plants or offshore oil and gas rigs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Engineering: Develop basic and detailed engineering documents, including design memorandums, technical specifications, and layouts for crane systems.
- Structural Analysis: Perform calculations for crane components, including wire ropes, gearboxes, motors, and end trucks.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee or perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hoists and cranes to ensure safety and minimize downtime.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and review detailed working drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and technical submittals from vendors.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment and lifting operations comply with industry standards (e.g., ASME, IS codes) and safety regulations.
- Project Management: Coordinate with site teams for installation, commissioning, and testing of new or refurbished equipment.
- Interface Management: Review interfaces with other systems (e.g., building structure, power supply) and maintain project records
