- responsible for the design, maintenance, and operational integrity of the auxiliary systems that support a main power generation unit or drilling rig. This role involves managing utility systems (water, air, oil), electrical substations, and mechanical components within the yard, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Engineering: Prepare basic and detailed engineering documents, including Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), design memorandums, and layout drawings for utilities, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
- Maintenance & Operations: Plan and oversee routine and preventative maintenance of equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, and compressors.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor offers, participate in technical meetings, and review vendor documentation and drawings.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate site surveys, input data collection for engineering, and manage interfaces between different project disciplines.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and cost estimations.
